Hi everyone! After 10 months abroad this past year, I seem unable to get used to this darned Calgary weather (winter in early October?!) Luckily for us all the cold doesn't seem to be affecting my creative mind.
My experiences in Malta left me raring to go. I resumed my regular Wednesday night gig dancing aboard the real Black Pearl, the pirate ship that was owned by Errol Flynn in the 50's, and even had one our very own PRO students, Syenna, join me for a show! I had my debut solo burlesque performance in London. I had sold out shows in London, Liverpool, Manchester, Amsterdam & a castle in Potsdam, just outside Berlin, with our sister troupe Kabuki Guns Burlesque. Not being able to deny my love of flowers, I got a job at the best flower shop in Malta, Il-Qronfla, where they pretty much gave me free range to do whatever I wanted! I was doing all the flowers at 5 star hotels, weddings, funerals, special events… it was truly amazing!!

I feel so fortunate to have stumbled upon Studio Sublime. It has given my life new meaning-- it has given me exercise in the form of dance itself. It has given me community in the form of a close new group of friends. It has given me new found confidence I didn't know I had; when men and women alike tell you how gorgeous you are and how amazing it is to watch to you dance, it sends you to the moon. It has given me something to look forward to each and every day. Laaryah I can't thank you enough for being such an amazing teacher and friend!
